There’s many interesting items to be found on Kickstarter, but these are the coolest ones this week.<\/p>\n
HP Lovecraft Cthulhu Mythos Petroglyphs<\/strong><\/a> “H.P. Lovecraft created a universe where outside forces came to and inhabited our planet before the dawn of man, and left a lasting record of their travails and accomplishments. In stories that are cornerstones of Lovecraft’s history of deep time, like \u201cThe Shadow Out of Time\u201d and \u201cAt the Mountains of Madness,\u201d explorers, antiquarians, and researchers discover this history through carvings in stone, bas-reliefs, petroglyphs, and murals left behind by ancient races. Since the publication, the Cthulhu mythos has grown to encompass many different creatures and horrors. I want to make available to the fans of the series a number of rings that will incorporate the best of the stories into their design.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Hollow Earth: Perils of Mars<\/strong><\/a> “Perils of Mars contains four pulp adventure scenarios set on the dying and dangerous Red Planet. Player characters will set sail with sky pirates, investigate the ruins of an infamous city, explore a forbidden moon, and search the Martian wasteland for a way home. Each of these adventures can be played by itself or as part of an existing campaign. They can also be linked together or used to launch an epic tale of your own creation. The choice is yours!<\/p>\n Perils of Mars also delivers optional rules and expanded setting material for Gamemasters, including ancient treasures, boarding actions, lunar locations, and more. \nThese are really cool looking sets of glyphs depicting Cthulhu that you can display in your home as an artifact you found last time you were in the South Pacific. I really like the full slate with the glyphs in sequence.<\/p>\n
\nThere’s a lot of games out there currently with a focus on PC’s having god-like powers, but I’ve always been impressed with Sine Nomine Publishing. This game looks like pure power fantasy, and a ton of fun.<\/p>\n
\nI really like the idea of special dice for rolling damage, and these ones are specialized for your ranged damage.<\/p>\n
\nYou can now show your fealty to Great Cthulhu with a signet ring. I really like the design of this ring, and think it would look great on anyone’s finger.<\/p>\n
\nI love Fandible’s games of Hollow Earth, and I love that the system has pulled Mars into the world too for maximum pulpiness. This kickstarter is for four new scenarios on Mars, though there’s a lot of cool add ons and stretch goals.<\/p>\nStill active!<\/h4>\n
