Filigree in Shadow is their latest package that they’re sending out, which is a Victorian thriller. I think there’s plenty of inspiration for a game in the mysteries surrounding their boxes, and the props seem incredibly detailed and cool. (And if someone wants to send me the King in Yellow package, I won’t say no)

“For several years, The Mysterious Package Company has turned the daily trip to the mailbox into an adventure by providing unique stories you can touch. These packages tell amazing tales in multiple chapters, each arriving weeks apart. Chapters are comprised of customized newspaper articles, diary pages, lab notes, photographs, objets d’art, and so forth. Together they place the recipient at the centre of the narrative, often even referring to long-lost (or non-existent) relatives.

These adventures culminate in a handmade wooden crate that has been nailed shut. Within, a custom-crafted artifact acts as the touchstone for the experience; a centerpiece that will spark the telling and retelling of the unexpected sequence of events that began with an unassuming envelope found in one’s mailbox.

We pay extraordinary attention to the details of each experience, right down to the accurately recreated postmark on each letter and how the paper is aged. We include real history in every story, which lends authenticity to the experience and disguises the point at which reality ends and fiction begins.”

Bombshell Babes Miniatures
I really love several of these miniatures, cool dames all ready to shoot. Eventually I’m just going to have to buy paint and start painting my own miniatures. You can get individual miniatures for $8, or a pack of 6 (or more depending on stretch goals!) for $50, which seems like a great deal.

“We bring you a whole new set of fantastic female character models suitable for use with all manner of tabletop wargames and RPGs!

Although we’re using a term like “Babes” to describe the line, these characters are much more than just a label. The concept is something retro and nostalgic that is intended to evoke images of famous paintings like J. Howard Miller’s “We Can Do It” and Rockwell’s “Rosie the Riveter”.

We have a fantastic list of classic character archetypes with a fresh take on the designs from the mind of concept artist Chris Walton for the core set as well as numerous stretch goals. Care is taken to size the figures so they are compatible with other models from the most popular manufacturers within the 28mm range of heroic sizes. Babes™ are cast in the finest lead-free pewter to assure as much of the detail of the original sculpt is preserved. All models are supplied unpainted and some assembly may be required.”

Fidget Cube
I’m not a huge fidgeter, but these are really cool. Each side of the cube has a different sensory way to fidget with the cube, and they’re small enough to play with at your desk or while watching TV. If you’re someone who needs to be doing something with your hands, this might be something worth checking out.

“Fidget Cube is a desk toy for anyone who likes to fidget. Fidget Cube (patent pending) has six sides. Each side features something to fidget with: Click, Glide, Flip, Breathe, Roll and Spin.

There are really no limits to when and where you can use Fidget Cube. Use it while listening to a lecture, or while studying for that upcoming test. Use it in the next meeting you have to attend (or lead). Use it at your desk while working on projects. Enduring a lengthy commute and need to relieve some stress? Fidget away. Marathoning a Netflix series? Yep, you can fidget then too.”

Bag of Superior Sorting
This dice bag has a ton of pockets for you to put your dice in and keep everything precisely where you want. Your set of lucky dice can stay together in one pocket, and your second set of lucky dice for when your first set inevitably fail you can hang out in another section. Or maybe you sort your dice by sides? There’s plenty of room for that.

“The Bag of Superior Sorting (BoSS) is a dice / game token bag which has 13 separate pockets to make it easy to reach in and pull out what you need during gameplay.

I don’t know if you are like me, but I got tired digging through a bag to find what I needed, dumping out all the items onto a table, or bashing my knuckles on hard plastic containers. All this agony because I needed a specific die or game token. I went through 8 different prototypes while coming up with the final design that is being offered in this Kickstarter campaign. Each of the prototypes offered me learning opportunities which I used to improve on the design.”

Still active!

Kid Sized Giant Robot Arms
World of Aetaltis
Fine Art Dice Towers
Loaded Dice
Thank You for Screaming
Miniature Holders and Grips
Trudvang Chronicles
One Night Ultimate Alien
Baby Bestiary Calendar

There’s many interesting items to be found on Kickstarter, but these are the coolest ones this week.
